Zelensky Apologizes to Trump with UK Support

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, was set up with the aftermath of a sharp exchange with American President Donald Trump, which was justified for what happened during the visit to the White House. This was stated by American envoy Steve Vitkoff, noting that this initiative has become a key and important step. Negotiations between Ukrainian, American, and European delegations on this issue were quite extensive.

Between Zelensky, Trump, and his replacement, Jay Di Vanson, there was a tense discussion related to Washington's position on the war between Russia and Ukraine. However, immediately after visiting the British government building, the meeting became different. During a special meeting, Starmere conveyed to Zelensky a more serious message, where he noted that "it is time to correct relations with Trump."

According to information from the Wall Street Journal, sources claim that Starmere urged the Ukrainian president to pay attention to Trump's pressures, instead of concentrating on strengthening relations with Kyiv. Britain and France supported Zelensky to publicly address the American leader, and also provided recommendations regarding the formulation of these statements.

Strengthening the pressure on Zelensky from European allies, led by France and the United Kingdom, began becoming ordinary events since the beginning of the war in 2022, requiring concessions, significantly influencing American requests. European officials believe that the pressure on Zelensky was a clear shift in policy, as previously European leaders insisted that Ukraine itself should determine its fate. However, now Zelensky is forced to resolutely advance the process forward.

The U.S. Ambassador, Steve Vitkoff, confirmed that Zelensky proposed an apology to President Donald Trump. According to information from the Wall Street Journal, British and French officials actually advised the Ukrainian president to make a public apology before the American colleague regarding the sharp exchange that took place in the White House. According to sources, "the Brits and the French gave the Ukrainians advice on the best way to write a public apology in error."

After the sharp conversations between Zelensky and Trump in the White House last month, Zelensky is departing for London, where he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
